About the training
With the growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) many industries are seeing a significant number of OT/IoT devices connected to their IT systems. This professional diploma in OT Security will enable Operational Technology (OT) engineers to understand and apply security with respect to IT system integration of their OT systems. The programme will instruct them how to manage and ensure the security of their systems as they are integrated.

1. Gain detailed knowledge of network architectures and protocols used for Industrial Control Systems.
2. Provides knowledge to support the understanding of suitable security standards as applied to Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
3. Develops skills on the use network design principles in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and manage system security problems for IT/OT system integration.
4. Evaluate cybersecurity theories relevant to the management of challenges in IT/OT system integration.

Training information
Requirements: This course is ideal for ICT professionals or graduates with an honours degree in computing or in a cognate area (STEM) who wish to develop a career as a cybersecurity professional in a technical role. This is a highly technical course requiring basic networking knowledge to ensure success. Candidates who do not hold a computing degree and are currently working in the IT sector may be considered based on relevant academic qualifications or extensive work experience.
